The Greater Gifts Market
The Greater Gifts Market is a ministry of Sugar Land First United Methodist Church designed to assist you in giving alternative, noncommercial gifts for all gift-giving occasions.
It is a way to honor those you love by giving to your church, community and world. In the giving lies abundant joy. As you observe celebrations with loved ones—birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas—please consider giving a gift that honors them and God by bringing life to others.
Each listing in the catalog includes a brief description of the ministry and the way(s) your gift may be used. When you choose one of the gift options, you will receive a greeting card, to send/give to the person(s) you are honoring. If you wish, a card will be sent on your behalf, or you may pick up a card and customize it with your own greeting.
Orders may be mailed to the church in care of Missions, or delivered to the church office. You may use the order form found at the end of this listing, or the online order form.
By giving Greater Gifts, you can provide a memorial gift or transform birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other gift-giving occasions into opportunities to witness to the love of Christ in our church, community, and world. These gifts touch the hearts of givers, receivers and those who benefit directly from the gifts.
The resource you choose will receive 100% of your donation. Your donation is tax-deductible, subject to IRS rules. Minimum requested gift is $10.00, with the exception of Kid’s Can Give option (see below).
Kids Can Give Too!
The Kids Can Give option allows our children to begin to understand that gift-giving occasions are opportunities to help others. Kid’s gifts in the amount of $5.00 can be made to any of the items listed in the catalog.
How Does Greater Gifts Work?
Select your gift(s) from the catalog. Fill out the order form located in the back of this catalog and mail or bring it with your payment to the church office. Make checks payable to Sugar Land Methodist. Our mailing address is 431 Eldridge Road, Sugar Land, TX 77478. Take a gift card to send to the person you are honoring or, if requested, a card will be sent to the name and address you specify.
